This was a month-long, commissioned project that was absolutely BRILLANT. The client reached out to me on Fivver and had an idea to construct a Patlabor style diorama using a Bandai HG Custom Guard model he bought and sent directly to me. The client had a pretty clear idea of what he wanted and I was anxious to deliver. Using a wooden 12-inch base, cork, and Elmer's foam board, I constructed the main base and formed the sidewalks. Concrete and asphalt were done with AK Interactive Terrain Paints (Brillant Paints and extremely realistic) Buildings are a HO scale City Hall and Cafe that I weathered again using AK products, adding EFSF and Zeon graffiti to each of their sides. Two sets of Presier HO scale protestors and HO scale swat figures were each hand-painted to the client's specs. The Gundam is 1/144 Bandai HG Custom Guard that was airbrushed and fitted with aftermarket parts to look more like the clients' anime hero, Patlabor. Street signs were hand made from aluminum and hand-painted as well. Overall, put a TON of love into this project and can't wait to get the clients' official review.
